I am about to get engaged to my divorced boyfriend, who has 50% custody of his 5 year old daughter. I have never been married or had children before, but I was a nanny. If anyone has read any good books about stepparenting, or has any insight to share from their own experience, I would appreciate it. My main concerns are not with the stepchild (our relationship is strong so far) but rather my role in the family. We do hope to have a child in the future as well.
