(AP) ? Dutch club FC Den Bosch pledged Wednesday to do all it can to identify and punish a group of fans who hurled racist abuse at United States striker Jozy Altidore during a match.

Den Bosch said fans responsible for the monkey chants Tuesday in the Dutch Cup match against Altidore's AZ Alkmaar "do not belong in the De Vliert (Stadium) and will face the toughest possible sanctions."

The racist chants gave a hollow ring to the slogan "Without respect, no football" that was coined by Dutch soccer authorities in the aftermath of the death of a linesman who was attacked by players after a match between two youth teams near Amsterdam in December.

Altidore, who is black, was not available for comment Wednesday. He's played for the U.S. national team and the New York Red Bulls from 2006-08.

After the match, he told Dutch television the chants were the worst abuse he has been subjected to on a soccer field.

"It's a bit disappointing that these things still happen in this time that we're in," Altidore told Eredivisie Live. "But what you going to do? You just hope these people can find a way to improve themselves. You can only pray for them."

Altidore, one of Dutch soccer's most prolific strikers this season, scored a goal from the penalty spot in his team's 5-0 win over Den Bosch and urged the referee not to take the players off the field despite the chants.

The 23-year-old American said education is the key to stamping out such chants.

"At the end of the day it's still alive, racism. All we can do now is try to educate ourselves, the young kids coming up, to be better than that," Altidore said.

Den Bosch condemned the chants from a small section of the crowd.

"A cup tie that was supposed to be played in an atmosphere of respect has left us scarred," the club said in a statement on its website.

Referee Reinold Wiedemeijer halted play briefly in the second half because fans threw balls of ice at his linesmen.

Offensive chants are nothing new in Dutch soccer stadiums, but it had been hoped that the sharpened focus on respect following the death of volunteer linesman Richard Nieuwenhuizen might help eradicate them.

"(The fans) totally ruined weeks of preparations with monkey chants, throwing things at match officials and not showing respect for those on and around the pitch," Den Bosch said.

Bucks 117, Pistons 90 - NBA News | FOX Sports on MSN

Updated?Jan 29, 2013 11:47 PM ET

?

AUBURN HILLS, Mich. (AP)

After Milwaukee's reserves helped turn things around, Brandon Jennings turned the game into a rout.

Jennings scored 20 of his 30 points in the third quarter as the Bucks cruised to a 117-90 victory over the Detroit Pistons on Tuesday night.

Mike Dunleavy had 17 points and Monta Ellis added 14 for the Bucks, who rallied from a 15-point first-quarter deficit to take a 10-point lead at halftime. The Milwaukee reserves outscored Detroit's 59-41, including 28-10 in the key second quarter.

''We got a ton of energy from our second unit to help us get back into the game - that really set the tone and got everybody's blood going a little,'' Milwaukee coach Jim Boylan said. ''And then Brandon came out and what can you say about that third quarter? Just `wow'.''

Jennings, considered a possibility to replace injured Boston guard Rajon Rondo at the All-Star game, certainly didn't hurt his chances against Detroit. At one stretch in the third period, he hit four straight 3-pointers while accounting for all of the scoring during the Bucks' 16-0 run that gave them an 85-56 lead.

''We were just really aggressive in that quarter,'' Jennings said. ''Our bigs gave us everything they had, and that gave us some unbelievable intensity.''

Jennings finally cooled down late in the third, throwing up an air ball while going for his sixth 3 of the period, but he just laughed off the ensuing chant from what was left of a tiny Palace crowd.

''We know that a guy like Brandon Jennings, who has been struggling a little, was going to come out and try to play at a high level tonight,'' said Pistons coach Lawrence Frank. ''He just turned the game into a show in the third quarter, and we couldn't do anything to stop it.''

Rookie Andre Drummond had 18 points and 18 rebounds for Detroit, while Greg Monroe scored 14 points. Drummond became just the second teenager to have an 18-18 game since 1985-86, joining Dwight Howard.

Detroit, which hopes to make a run at the playoffs now that Boston has lost Rondo, won't have a shot if they play many more games like Tuesday's.

''It was a strange game,'' the Pistons' Charlie Villanueva said. ''We came out playing really well for the first 10 or 11 minutes, and after that it was all downhill. They turned it up, and we just collapsed.''

After taking a 28-13 lead with 1:43 remaining in the first quarter, the Pistons were outscored 77-35 over the next nearly 25 minutes. Milwaukee had a 33-14 scoring edge in the second period, including Samuel Dalembert tipping in a missed free throw that had been taken with 0.1 seconds left.

''The worst part about that play was that it was Milwaukee's third offensive rebound off a missed free throw in the first half,'' Frank said. ''I'm not sure I've ever seen that before. We had a chance to get up big, but they started playing harder than we did, and that changed the whole personality of the game.''

Things got even worse in the third quarter as Jennings helped the Bucks stretch their lead to 29 with 3:42 remaining in the period.

Detroit's defensive effort disappeared at that point, leading to a particularly ugly sequence in the fourth. Dalembert got open for back-to-back uncontested dunks in a half-court set, with John Henson making it three in a row on the next possession.

''When someone comes out firing like Brandon did in the third quarter, I think it takes a lot of life out of the other team,'' Boylan said. ''He's been doing that a lot for us lately.''

NOTES: Dunleavy had a four-point play as part of his 14-point second quarter. ... The Pistons had beaten Milwaukee in both meetings this season. ... The Pistons honored NASCAR Sprint Cup champion Brad Keselowski at halftime. Keselowski is from Rochester Hills, only a few miles from the Palace. ... Howard had three games of at least 18 rebounds and 18 points at the age of 19.

Capitol Confidential ? Names for gaming commission surface

Posted on by James M. Odato in Casinos

State Racing and Wagering Board lawyer Rob Williams will be asked to don another hat and run the new gaming commission for awhile, a Cuomo administration source said on Tuesday.

Williams, who is already acting director of the Division of the Lottery and who has been serving in the executive chamber, will be acting director of the new body to oversee all legal gambling, racing and lottery operations statewide.

The source also confirmed a report on Tuesday in Bloodhorse that Gov. Andrew Cuomo has chosen two gaming commission board members: John Poklemba, a former administrator in Gov. Mario Cuomo?s administration, and Todd Snyder, a financial industry professional who has helped Gov. Andrew Cuomo in finding ways to cut cost of state employee benefits.

The New York Gaming Commission is supposed to have seven commissioners paid $300 per meeting. So the appointees, two from the Legislature and five from the governor, will go to people not looking for full-time work or full-time paychecks. Poklemba formerly served as the state?s director of criminal justice. He also went on to be a lobbyist for police.

Snyder was used by Andrew Cuomo?s administration to help find ways to trim health care costs, particularly for retirees, given his experience in developing deals with United Airlines and General Motors. He is with Rothschild Inc.

Birmingham video production chief believes online marketing can ...

A Birmingham video production specialist believes that effective online marketing can help local businesses in some of the UK?s most deprived areas. Birmingham has some of the worst unemployment black spots with Ladywood and Hodge Hill constituencies top of the chart for the ?worst unemployment rates?.

Alexis Belle of Birmingham production company Pro Web Video this week said ?Although there are some very deprived employment areas in the City, there is also a great entrepreneurial spirit across our diverse communities. Online video marketing can help these businesses reach new audiences and develop employment prospects across the city.?

Pro Web Video is a video production company, based in Birmingham, and consisting of a small team of professionals and creatives who specialise in online video marketing and video production. They handle every element of the video production process, from initial concepts and scriptwriting through to skilful filming, editing and finally the video's distribution to the web. Their approach is to establish an open relationship with clients from the outset, ensuring they are involved at each and every stage of the production process. They have both achieved some great success stories in video marketing, due to their creativeness, skills and unique personal flair.

Alexis continued ?A recent statistic from a leading SEO organisation showed that videos give a 53% higher chance of Google #1 rankings for a product ? and if a businesses can match this #1 position with an excellent offering and great customer service, then they have all the ingredients for success. And younger businesses should have a much more imaginative approach to online video ? after all, this is the YouTube generation after all!?

Alexis continued ?Effective online video need not be expensive ? in fact much of it can be done inhouse on low-cost equipment. However we can help business develop some professional and brand-building video at a surprisingly low cost which they can use as a springboard for future internet marketing. Video is a really flexible but measurable marketing tool ? great for websites, presentations, social media and blogging.?

PFT: Rams will not hire Rob Ryan

Randy MossAP

We mentioned earlier today that 49ers wide receiver Randy Moss declared himself the best wideout in the history of the game.

You?ll likely see much more about him in the coming days, in many outlets, because he was so open and forthcoming and illuminating about many topics during his appearance at Media Day.

When Moss is on, he?s extremely interesting, he just chooses not to be on often.

But among the gems today was a candid admission that he didn?t particularly care for the way the 49ers used him this year.

In the past, it could have been a Keyshawn-level ?Just Give Me the Damn Ball? routine, but Moss said it so matter-of-factly it was easy to miss.

?I don?t like my role; I don?t,? he said. ?I like to be out there playing football. One thing that I?ve always had to really understand was being a decoy. It was put to me, Coach Dennis Green just said, ?Even though the football is not in your hand, you?re still out there dictating how the defense is playing the offense.? It took me awhile to really understand where he was coming from. Later on and now in my career, I understand that my presence out on the field, I don?t always have to touch the ball to be able to help the offense score touchdowns.

?Like I said, I don?t really like that, but it?s something that I?m used to. I have to grow to understand and grow to like it. I?ve always been a team player. I?ve never been about self. Anything that is going to push our team to victory and hopefully win a Super Bowl, I?m willing to do.?

No, that was Moss, who hasn?t always been accused to giving freely of himself for the greater good.

But 49ers offensive coordinator Greg Roman said Moss had been nothing but professional.

?He?s been great,? Roman said. ?I think he?s a great team player, and a mentor for all the guys, really.?

His love of competition has never been in doubt. Moss joked about past arguments, even fights, he?s had with coaches and players. But his role with the 49ers, as much as he might not like it, remains a valuable one, as Roman insisted Moss could still ?get behind a defense in a hurry.?

?When I hear people talk about how talented I am and how easy I make it look, I can honestly tell you people that it?s very hard work,? Moss said. ?I work out five times a week. I put the work in and for me to be able to go out there and have results it something I am proud of. It?s not always the individual results that I?m proud of. For me to be able to talk to a Michael Crabtree or talk to a Frank Gore or Percy Harvin and for them to go out there and have a good game that week, that?s something I can be proud of. That?s just me giving back to the NFL.

?I?ve always said, I don?t like what the NFL does for me because I?m very blessed. My family is blessed. I?ve always been the type of person to know what I can do to make the League better. At this point in my career, if I?m able to be vocal, to share a little knowledge and also to go out there and play, if that?s what it takes to win a championship, then I?m willing to do that. I?ve always been that way.?

Maybe so, but he hasn?t been quite the way he was Tuesday too often, or the perception of his career would likely be very different.

J.J. Abrams' Star Wars May Arrive After 2015

With the news late last week that J.J. Abrams was chosen to direct Star Wars: Episode VII, the online community naturally went ballistic. Now we've hit another spot in the life cycle of a movie where fan interest is spiked, and every square inch of this sucker will be analyzed until we feel its time to move onto something else. From the Producers Guild Awards over the weekend come the first quotes from Abrams on his new Star Wars directing gig, and for starters he's wisely making it all about the fans, telling the Huffington Post, ?I can just say what I want to do: I want to do the fans proud. I want to make sure the story is something that touches people. And we're just getting started. I'm very excited.?

We like how his first thoughts are about the fans and getting it right for them, which already feels like a different vibe from how George Lucas approached it. With Lucas, it always felt like it was about Lucas and what was in his head, or what he felt he needed to tell. Abrams sounds like he's immediately attacking two huge Star Wars needs: a movie that fans will be happy about, as well as one that resonates emotionally, like the original trilogy does. The dude is definitely off to a good start there.

To E!, he added,??It really is an incredible thing. It's wildly surreal. It's obviously way too early to talk specifics... but I'm excited to actually start it."

And about actually starting it: The Hollywood Reporter mentions that Abrams has not committed to the current 2015 release date, and that if the production warrants that date getting pushed back, it'll get pushed back. Abrams pulled a similar move with the Star Trek sequel, which Paramount originally wanted in theaters in 2012, but was able to get it pushed back to 2013. In the end, though, it could be a good thing, with 2015 already packed with big movies like The Avengers 2, Pirates of the Caribbean 5, a potential Justice League movie and maybe even Avatar 2.

In the meantime, Abrams will be busy for the next few months rolling out Star Trek Into Darkness this May, and word is he'll remain onboard to produce both Star Trek 3 and the next Mission: Impossible movie, as well as several TV pilots. So chances are that Star Wars date will get pushed back -- maybe to Memorial Day weekend 2016 -- but Disney may not want to wait that long to get a Star Wars movie in theater, so we'll have to see how it all shakes out.

Would you be fine waiting till 2016 to get this Star Wars movie if it meant everyone had more time to get it right?

While we wait for more news, here's a dorky trailer that mashes up Star Trek and Star Wars. Expect more of this. A lot more of this.

National Liberal Arts Colleges Where Most Accepted Students Enroll

Though prospective college students are increasingly applying to more schools, each applicant can ultimately enroll in just one. For fall 2011, some of the most popular choices among students were U.S. service academies.

Colleges refer to the percentage of their accepted first year students who choose to enroll as "yield" and report the statistic to U.S. News in annual surveys. Yield is an important indicator of what students think about their college choice. While a high yield shows students greatly value being admitted to a particular institution, a low yield may mean that the school was considered a "safety" and may not have been those students' first choice.

In a 2012 U.S. News survey, 233 ranked National Liberal Arts Colleges, generally small schools that emphasize undergraduate education, reported yield rates for fall 2011.

The United States Naval Academy reported the highest yield rate that year, enrolling 86.2 percent of admitted undergraduates. Following closely behind, the United States Military Academy enrolled 83.6 percent of admitted applicants for fall 2011, while 82.1 percent of students accepted to the United States Air Force Academy chose to attend.

On average, the ranked National Liberal Arts Colleges that reported yield rates to U.S. News enrolled close to 30 percent of accepted undergraduates for fall 2011. That's not as high as the average among National Universities: about 36 percent, according to school reports.

[See the yield rates at National Universities.]

High yield rates do not necessarily correspond with the overall Best Colleges rankings. Though Harvard University is the No. 1 ranked National University and has the second-highest yield rate amongst similar schools for fall 2011, Williams College, ranked No. 1 overall in the U.S. News Best National Liberal Arts Colleges rankings, reported a yield rate of 44.9 percent for fall 2011--the 25th highest on the list below.

The yield rates could be affected by any early decision or early action options offered by schools. Since students accepted through those programs are generally expected to enroll, overall yield rates may increase as a result.

Below are the fall 2011 yield rates for every National Liberal Arts College that reported the statistic to U.S. News.

The yield data above are correct as of Jan. 28, 2013. For additional admissions data, complete rankings, and much more, access the U.S. News College Compass.

Man wrongly charged in Texas shooting released from jail

SAN ANTONIO (Reuters) - A man who police said was wrongly charged in connection with a shooting at a Texas community college last week, was released from jail on Monday after charges against him were dismissed.

Carlton Berry, 22, who was being treated in a jail hospital ward for injuries he received in the shooting, was released from jail on Monday afternoon, said Sara Kinney, a spokeswoman for the Harris County District Attorney's Office.

"All the charges against him were dismissed," Kinney said. "He is free to go."

No one was killed in the shooting on a campus of Lone Star College near Houston. But the incident raised national concern coming just over a month after the massacre of children at a Newtown, Connecticut, elementary school.

Berry was the first person charged after the January 22 shooting. He was charged with aggravated assault based on an erroneous identification of him as the shooter by a witness.

Police later charged a second person, Trey Foster, 22, in the case. Foster made his first court appearance on Monday. Jail records show he remains behind bars on two felony charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and one count of misdemeanor resisting arrest.

The confrontation started after a third person, Jody Neal, bumped into Foster on the campus, police said. An argument erupted and officials say Foster fired 10 shots. Neal, Berry, who had gone to the library with Foster, and a college maintenance man were wounded.

Investigators originally thought Foster accidentally shot himself but have revised that to indicate that they now believe Foster shot all three men.

Foster was arrested on Friday in the Dallas suburb of Plano, and a gun, believed to be the weapon used in the shooting, was recovered, officials said.

UFC on Fox 6 results: Demetrious Johnson retains title, ?Rampage? loses in Octagon finale

CHICAGO -- The UFC's stop in the Windy City had two great knockouts, a champion holding onto his belt, and the last fight of a one-time champ.

Despite a strong start by John Dodson, Demetrious Johnson held onto his championship belt with a unanimous decision. The judges saw it 48-47, 49-46, 48-47 for Johnson.

Unsurprisingly, Johnson and Dodson fought a fast-paced first two rounds. Johnson tried to slow things down in the first round with a takedown. While he did get Dodson to to the ground, the challenger popped back to his feet quickly.

Dodson dropped Johnson twice in the second round, and shook off Johnson's take down attempts with a great sprawl. Johnson seemed to have a hard time even getting close to Dodson to land a punch.

[Related: T.J. Grant and Ryan Bader shine at UFC on Fox 6]

A Johnson knee in the fourth round caused a small fight stoppage. Dodson's hand was on the ground as Johnson threw a knee to Dodson's head, which is an illegal strike. The bout was stopped as doctors checked Dodson's eye and Johnson was warned. The fight went on, but not without plenty of boos from the crowd in Chicago.

When the fight restarted, it was all Johnson. He controlled Dodson against the cage, and threw knees that busted up Dodson's face. Johnson was able to get a takedown at the beginning of the fifth round, too. Though boos rained down, Johnson kept the fight against the cage.

Later, the crowd got behind him as Johnson elevated, tightened his legs around Dodson's torso and threw elbows. It was a creative move that likely could only happen in the flyweight division. Johnson finished the round with Dodson against the cage, and knee after knee after knee to the body and face.

Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson vs. Glover Teixeira

If this really was Quinton "Rampage" Jackson's last fight in the UFC, it wasn't one to remember. He was outstruck and outwrestled by Glover Teixeira throughout their bout. Teixeira took the fight 30-27, 30-27, 29-28 on the judges' cards.

Teixeira's first round was his best, as he was able to take Jackson down early and mount him and take his back. Late in the round, Teixeira knocked Jackson down with a punch and looked close to finishing, but wasn't able to end the fight.

The rest of the fight featured a worn out Jackson trying to avoid Teixeira's takedown attempts unsuccessfully. Jackson threw some big punches, and even jawed at Teixeira during the bout, but he wasn't able to score any big offense.

While this fight will be remembered for being Jackson's last UFC bout, Teixeira scored his third straight UFC win on Saturday night. He looked impressive against the former champ.

Anthony Pettis vs. Donald Cerrone

Anthony Pettis won his much anticipated bout with Donald Cerrone by landing big, memorable strikes. Pettis was getting the better of their striking exchanges early, which set him up for a big finish. Pettis threw a kick that landed hard on Cerrone's body, then finished with a punch. Cerrone fell to the ground in a heap, and the fight was stopped at 2:35 in the first round.

Pettis lost his first fight in the UFC after coming from the WEC as the champ, but he's been winning ever since. He has wins over Joe Lauzon, Jeremy Stephens and now Cerrone. After the fight, he made a pitch to UFC president Dana White.

"I want my title shot. I should have had it years ago. People say I can?t wrestle because of the Guida fight, but I had a serious shoulder injury. Now I am 100 percent. No one can do in the Octagon what I can do."

While lightweight champion Benson Henderson has a fight set up with Gilbert Melendez, a shot for Pettis isn't unwarranted. It would be a rematch of their WEC title fight, which Pettis won in the promotion's final fight.

Ricardo Lamas vs. Erik Koch

Lamas won the first round by constantly pressuring Koch against the cage. It wasn't exactly the most thrilling round to have start a card on network television, but it led to a thrilling second round. Lamas took advantage of Koch's slip, and then finished the fight with nasty, nasty ground and pound. Lamas started with elbows, then started with strikes that cut open Koch's face. Koch had no answer for Lamas' relentless strikes, and the bout was stopped at 2:32 in the second round.

Lamas thought his performance warranted a title shot.

"I?ve beat Cub Swanson, I?ve beat Hioki and now I?ve beat Koch. All those guys were supposed to be fighting for the title at one point. I beat them all. We?re all here to be world champ and I am no different. I want the winner of Aldo vs Edgar next week. I don?t care who wins, I want the winner."

FVRx showed early indicators of promising results as medical providers ?prescribed? farmers market vouchers to overweight and obese children and pregnant women at-risk of diet-related diseases. Important components of the program were oversight by healthcare providers, participation in nutrition coaching and community interactions. In 2012, WW also began to explore the impact on community access to fresh food and the significance of partnerships between healthcare providers and farmers markets as part of a community strategy to promote healthy eating.

Casey Anthony Files For Bankruptcy - Business Insider

TAMPA, Fla. (AP) ? Casey Anthony filed for bankruptcy in Florida on Friday, claiming about $1,100 in assets and $792,000 in liabilities.

Court records show that Anthony, who was acquitted of killing her 2-year-old daughter Caylee in 2011, sought Chapter 7 bankruptcy protection in federal court in Tampa.

Her listed debts include $500,000 for attorney fees and costs for her criminal defense lawyer during the trial, Jose Baez; $145,660 for the Orange County Sheriff's office for a judgment covering investigative fees and costs related to the case; $68,540 for the Internal Revenue Service for taxes, interest and penalties; and $61,505 for the Florida Department of Law Enforcement for court costs.

The filling also states that she is a defendant in several civil suits, including one brought by Zenaida Fernandez-Gonzalez for defamation in Orange County Circuit Court.

Fernandez-Gonzalez claims her reputation was damaged by Anthony telling detectives that a baby sitter by the same name kidnapped Caylee. The detectives were investigating the 2008 disappearance of the girl, who later was found dead. Anthony's attorney said details offered by Anthony did not match Fernandez-Gonzalez and clearly showed Anthony wasn't talking about her.

Court papers list Anthony as unemployed, with no recent income.

An attorney for Anthony, David Schrader, did not immediately respond to messages from the Associated Press.

Anthony lists about 80 creditors in the 60-page court filing. The claims largely cover fees for legal, medical, psychiatric and forensics consulting or services. But one claim covers a debt for scuba diving services.

According to the courts, the aim of seeking Chapter 7 bankruptcy protection is to be discharged of most existing debts ? essentially to obtain a fresh financial start. A trustee may have the right to take possession of and sell non-exempt property and use the sale proceeds to pay creditors, but Anthony lists little in the way of assets. A debtor may still be held responsible for some obligations, such as taxes and student loans.

The filing came on the same day that a Florida appellate court set aside two of the four convictions she faced for lying to detectives during the investigation into her missing daughter.

Though Anthony was acquitted of killing Caylee, jurors convicted her of four counts of lying to detectives, and her attorneys appealed those convictions. Anthony was sentenced to time served for the misdemeanors.

She was sentenced to a year of probation after her release from jail for an unrelated case. For her protection, her whereabouts have been kept secret since she was released from state supervision last year.

Boost Your Business With Internet Marketing Tips | One Way Links ...

When you begin your business online, your first step for success should be, training yourself on the top internet marketing techniques, in order to get your business noticed. Knowing how to market your business online is very important to your bottom line. To jumpstart your business, here are some top tips that are sure to help move the revenue needle.

Site-wide links should not be used. In the latest internet marketing algorithm changes they have become highly depreciated, and may even lead to penalization. There should only be one site-wide link for every forty to fifty unique links. It is better to be safe then sorry with your links.

If you do not have a lot of time available to answer customers? questions individually, you should compile some of the ones that are asked a lot into a FAQ page. That way you will not receive as many inquiries since a lot of what they want to know will always be available to them.

On your site, make sure that you highlight not only the top sellers, but also the products that are not performing as well in sales. This is your chance to give your customers incentive to purchase these products and to shoot down any misconceptions that they may have about them.

Don?t forget the bad with the good. To gain the trust of your consumers, always remember to tell them anything negative about your product. Selling a consumer something without telling them about the flaws is a quick way to get complaints and returned product. To keep your sales final, tell the truth.

Turn your advertising into an article to really reach out to your target audiences. People use search engines to pull up ?how to? articles every day, so make your website useful and boost your search rankings at the same time. Custom content with your advertising cleverly embedded is a great way to give your website exposure.

Develop a strategy that focuses on, not only attracting new customers, but keeping the clients that you already have. Offer incentives and reasons why your current clients should stay with you, so that you can maximize your overall profits and keep everyone happy. This is an effective way to improve your visibility as an organization.

When marketing a product online, change up the wording of your ad copy periodically to see what draws in more visitors. Saying ?two days? instead of ?48 hours? could drastically affect the customer base you draw in for your product, as one example. In addition, changing the wording helps raise your search engine rankings, as it is seen as new content.

Use the word ?important? in your Internet advertising. ?Important? is a very important word to use since people don?t want to ever miss out on anything that might be important. It?s an eye-catching word, and you should use it when you can to draw customers to the ads on your site.

Even though they are print media, business cards are an important part of your Internet marketing strategy. Every time you hand a potential customer your business card, you have the opportunity to direct them to your website. Be sure the URL for your site is printed on your business cards.

These tips offer you a solid foundation from which to grow your business online. These tips will help build your buzz and ultimately, help generate revenue for your company, no matter if your company is product-driven or services-related. Now is the time to take the next step and utilize these techniques and investigate more opportunities, so that you can take your internet marketing to the next level.

Social mass media: Pope urges online evangelism, launches own ...

(Reuters / Osservatore Romano)

The Catholic Church may have found just another way to win converts. The Pope has urged believers to use Facebook, Twitter and other digital networks as ?new spaces for evangelization? and has launched a smartphone app following his events.

??Unless the Good News is made known also in the digital world, it may be absent in the experience of many people for whom this existential space is important,? Pope Benedict XVI said on Thursday.

His Holiness was quick to support his words with deeds as he launched his own application containing all official papal-related content: news and official speeches, galleries with the latest images and videos, access to Pope`s calendar and more. The app also let users to see streaming video from the webcams placed in key places of Vatican.

Although very recent, the five-star application has already received extremely positive reviews from those who downloaded it.

?This app has everything you`d ever want to follow the day to day events and ?catch up? with His Holiness, one word for this app, ?Wow?,?
one of the reviews read.

In his official message given for World Communications Day 2013, Pope Benedict XVI admitted that social networks are ?increasingly becoming part of the very fabric of society? and encouraged Catholic believers to engage in web activity.

?The challenge facing social networks is how to be truly inclusive: thus they will benefit from the full participation of believers who desire to share the message of Jesus and the values of human dignity which His teaching promotes.?

The Pope explained that due to the rapidly changing environment the church needs to adapt in order to reach broader audiences.

This is not the first time the head of the Catholic Church has targeted online audiences. In December 2012, Pope Benedict first tweeted from his official account, which now has almost 1.5 million followers.

The web stunts of the Catholic Church come as it experiences an apparent decline. In the US the number of Catholic priests has dropped over the last three decades, as has the number of Catholic marriages.

IFC Films acquires David Lowery's "Ain't Them Bodies Saints"

NEW YORK (TheWrap.com) - IFC Films has acquired domestic distribution rights to David Lowery's "Ain't Them Bodies Saints," which premiered Sunday at the Sundance Film Festival.

The film stars Rooney Mara and Casey Affleck as married bandits in 1970s Texas who set their sights on a local sheriff, played by Ben Foster.

IFC paid in the low seven figures for the rights, an individual with knowledge of the deal told TheWrap.

"Coming into Sundance, this was one of the biggest titles on our list and probably on many buyers lists, and so we ecstatic about this acquisition for our company," Jonathan Sehring, president of Sundance Selects/IFC Films, said in a statement. "This is a beautiful and exquisitely crafted romantic American drama, with superlative performances across the board. We are honored to now be able to say we get to work with David Lowery, a remarkable new voice in filmmaking, as we take this film to audiences."

This is just the second film directed by Lowery, a Texan with numerous editing credits to his name, including another film that premiered at Sundance - Shane Carruth's "Upstream Color." Toby Sailor Bear's Toby Halbrooks and James M. Johnston produced the movie with Parts & Labor's Jay Van Hoy and Lars Knudsen and Primary Productions' Amy Kaufman and Cassian Elwes.

Elwes and WME made the deal with IFC.

As you can see, this was a very, very short duel, mainly because it is just to illustrate the workings (and I was dueling myself...) I think the basic system is pretty easy to understand - Changes in LP are always bold, the turn markings are bold, and names of cards in italics. If any questions, feel free to post them here :) Also: leave a message when you are ready to start your own duel, and I'll set up another OOC thread so we can start. I have all the exam decks ready :)

Partisan Allegiances Emerge On Gun Control

By MICHAEL FALCONE ( @michaelpfalcone )

NOTABLES:

MAJORITY BACKS OBAMA'S GUN-CONTROL PLAN: Fifty-three percent in the latest ABC News-Washington Post poll view Obama's gun control plan favorably, 41 percent unfavorably. Strong proponents outnumber strong opponents by 38 vs. 31 percent in this poll, according to ABC News Polling Analyst Greg Holyk. But when asked about "Barack Obama's proposals for stricter gun control," partisan allegiances kick in. The president's proposals are seen favorably by 76 percent of Democrats but unfavorably by 72 percent of Republicans; most on each side feel strongly about their respective positions. Independents split 51-44 percent, favorable-unfavorable. http://abcn.ws/146ARFK

NEW NOMINEES TODAY: President Obama will announce his intent to nominate Mary Jo White to serve as Chair of the Securities and Exchange Commission and to re-nominate Richard Cordray to lead the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, a White House official tells ABC's Ann Compton. The official added, "In his first term, the President put in place historic consumer protections and the strongest reforms of Wall Street since the Great Depression. On Thursday, the President will name two individuals to serve in top enforcement roles in his administration to help ensure we are effectively implementing these reforms so that Wall Street is held accountable and middle class Americans never again are harmed by the abuses of a few." The announcements take place at 2:30 p.m. ET in the State Dining Room.

THE ROUNDTABLE:

ABC's RICK KLEIN: It's a rivalry too good to not be true: The vice president and the secretary of state, Nos. 2 and 3 on the power charts (and not necessarily on that order), both harboring long-held ambitions for the top spot. What makes it particularly remarkable now that is that Vice President Joe Biden and Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton are both enjoying moments that showcase their best qualities. Biden has been revealed as the consummate dealmaker, a not-so-secret force and weapon on the inside game. Clinton's force of personality was on display this week with her virtuoso valedictory performance on the Hill. Biden took the inside path (35 years in the Senate) to the Obama White House; Clinton blazed her own outside path (unknown nationally when Biden first ran for president, then as first lady and a senator) to the same place. And as they continue that way now, with Biden staying on and Clinton striking out on her own, they set up a potential 2016 matchup that tests the Obama legacy against the Obama spirit. Until then, it's worth savoring the moments in the limelight for two titans of the Democratic Party.

ABC's SHUSHANNAH WALSHE: Some conservative chatter when Hillary Clinton first fell ill was that it was a cover up because she was afraid to testify about the Benghazi terrorist attack. It seems stunning to think that now - not just because she had a concussion, a blood clot, and a hospital stay - but because of what a bold, decisive job she did testifying yesterday. She took on conservative senators like Ron Johnson of Wisconsin and Rand Paul of Kentucky while receiving praise from both sides of the aisle even ahead of some of the tougher questioning. The only possible stumble was in her tense back and forth with Johnson when talking about the reasons behind the attack she passionately said, "What difference does it make at this point?" It's something that you can easily see in an opponent's ad if she decides to run for president in 2016. Another thing we learned from the hearing? Looks like Rand Paul might follow in his father's footsteps and run for president.

ABC's Z. BYRON WOLF: Two days after President Obama offered his second inaugural grand progressive vision for America, the Pentagon moved toward allowing women in combat. Some might quibble with how many women are in his cabinet or how forcefully he has (or hasn't) pushed for marriage equality. But there is little doubt that when this president leaves office his administration will have helped to transform the military by allowing gays to serve openly and placing women on the front lines.

ABC's MICHAEL FALCONE: Just under five months ago, Democrats gathered in Charlotte, N.C. to see Barack Obama officially accept their party's presidential nominee for a second term. We all know how that story ended. Over the next few days, the leadership of the Republican National Committee, state GOP chairs and party leaders from around the country are descending on the same city - in the only swing state Mitt Romney won in November - to hold the RNC's annual winter meeting. It comes as Republicans are still in the midst of assessing what went wrong during the 2012 cycle and what Republicans need to fix as the midterm elections and the next presidential contest approach. GOP Chairman Reince Priebus, who is expected to win re-election for another term tomorrow, launched what he calls the "Growth and Opportunity" project to do just that. Where are Republicans drawing at least some of their inspiration from? As one GOP state committee member who traveled to Charlotte for the meeting noted, "We could learn a lot from the president's campaign."

ABC's CHRIS GOOD: The White House will blow its Feb. 4 deadline to offer a budget proposal to Congress, and Congress will probably miss its April 15 deadline to pass one. There are no real consequences, and after Obama won re-election over GOP complaints about no budget, even the political imperative seems weak. So why do we need a budget, anyway? Conservatives explain that Congress needs to organize its spending priorities. Here's one House GOP aide: "That's nearly 2.5 years of running the government based on spending levels and operating priorities from when Pelosi was still speaker. Obviously things change and agencies/departments need to update ? We need a budget just like a business or a family needs a budget. ? budgets also provide an outlook in the years ahead."

ANALYSIS: IS THE NEW OBAMA AN OPPORTUNITY FOR THE GOP? ABC News Political Analyst Matthew Dowd writes: At this point, the interpretation many have made of President Obama's second inaugural address is that he is going to govern based on the 25 percent progressives, and Republicans in Congress are going to govern based on the 35 percent conservatives. ? Many Democrats are celebrating the results of the last election as a reflection that the progressive viewpoint is where the majority of citizens want to go. This is foolhardy and creates a tremendous opportunity for Republicans in the next presidential election if they are smart enough to come up with a candidate who speaks to a majority of the country and speaks to values at the core of that majority. http://abcn.ws/10MK06R

BUZZ

with ABC's Chris Good ( @c_good)

NEXT UP: JOHN KERRY. After Hillary Clinton appeared on the Hill to talk about Benghazi, her likely successor as secretary of State will begin confirmation hearings today when he appears before Senate Foreign Relations Committee. CNN's Jessica Yellin and Holly Yan note that his prospects are good: "Nine years after his presidential bid ended in defeat, John Kerry's political career might take a major turn Thursday during his hearing to become the next secretary of state. The longtime senator from Massachusetts could sail to an easy confirmation, as politicians from both parties expressed optimism he would win approval. ? Kerry is noted for having the experience, gravitas and relationship-building skills that could help him succeed Hillary Clinton, the outgoing top U.S. diplomat." http://bit.ly/W03qkz

ROMNEY TO WASHINGTON. ABC's Shushannah Walshe reports: Mitt Romney is headed to Washington, D.C. Not in the way he would have liked and not in time for Monday's inauguration, but the former GOP presidential candidate and his wife, Ann, will be in D.C. Friday for a luncheon reception in their honor at the J.W. Marriott Hotel, according to two former aides. National Journal was the first to report the information, adding the luncheon is being thrown by two former campaign fundraisers: Virginia philanthropist Catherine Reynolds and Marriott Hotel's own Bill Marriott Jr. http://abcn.ws/Vkv3az

JOBLESS CLAIMS STAY AT FIVE-YEAR LOW. NPR's Mark Memmott reports: "The number of first-time claims for unemployment insurance dipped by 5,000 last week from the week before, to 330,000, the Employment and Training Administration reports. That means claims remain at a low level not seen since January 2008." http://n.pr/UYR4YL

FDR 2.0? BIDEN TO HOST 'FIRESIDE HANGOUT' ON GUNS. ABC's Arlette Saenz reports: Vice President Joe Biden will hold a modern-day version of President Franklin Delano Roosevelt's "fireside chat" Thursday when he participates in a Google+ Hangout on gun violence. In what Google is calling a "Fireside Hangout," the vice president will take part in a 30-minute online meeting starting at 1:45 p.m. ET on Thursday to discuss the administration's recommendations on curbing gun violence. The vice president will be joined in the hangout by Guy Kawasaki, Phil DeFranco, and "PBS NewsHour's" Hari Sreenivasan, who will moderate the event. http://abcn.ws/Xy4wkm

GALLUP: THE MOST POLARIZED YEAR EVER. The polling firm finds President Obama's fourth year in office tied for the most politically polarized, Gallup's Jeffrey M. JOnes writes: "During his fourth year in office, an average of 86% of Democrats and 10% of Republicans approved of the job Barack Obama did as president. That 76-percentage-point gap ties George W. Bush's fourth year as the most polarized years in Gallup records." http://bit.ly/YpECFY

HOW 2016ers PLAYED AT THE BENGHAZI HEARINGS. ABC's Arlette Saenz reports: Wednesday's hearings with Secretary of State Hillary Clinton may have been about Benghazi, but they also stoked some 2016 chatter, as they included three politicians who could wind up as big names in the next presidential election. ? In the hot seat: potential Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton ? Clinton was animated, combative, emotional and at times defiant as she endured nearly five hours of questioning from both sides of Congress ? Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., who sits atop many potential 2016 candidate lists, adopted a mild-mannered approach ? But Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., who told ABC News' Jonathan Karl last year that he's "interested" in a 2016 run, delivered a much harsher greeting to Clinton, saying he would have fired her if he had been president. http://abcn.ws/10xSOZn

WHO'S TWEETING?
